2025

The year that showed me how much can be done in 365 days.
I saw in 2026 with my most relaxing new years at a friends Bach/ Beach House having some down time and in nature; which if I hadn’t have got, I probably would have gone crazy from how much time I spent with people this year, it was insane.

2025 taught me lessons that can’t be learnt from textbooks that will change my perspective on many things moving forward. I learnt about the scales of balance in life operating on a global level which functions differently than just day to day life, and that if you full send it one way, the balance needs to be prioritised also to equal and opposite measures. It was full of challenges, joy, frustration, happiness, confusion, new memories, responsibilities and so much more. The older I get, the more i’m grateful for those around me. I always hope that my contribution into their lives is equal to how much they influence mine. They’re the calm in the chaos, the structure when challenges arise, the fun in moments, memories in looking back and so much more.

We as humans are incredible with what we have created, what we prioritise, and what we put our time and effort into. It’s important to find something you don’t hate doing, or to have something you enjoy being apart of or working towards. We do well with purpose, direction and achievement on the small and big things. Also relational connection with good people that is just being present with no expectations. We need one another to make the puzzle fit together. Different skills, different view points, different priorities etc. Sometimes these things are frustrating, but never close those doors as it helps us to grow.

For me personally, the desire to develop more and the drive to continue learning is a required % increase on the scale of life due to so much being discovered and developed on a regular basis globally constantly changing the way life looks. Leadership and consistency are two developing skills I want to focus on which always require pivoting; and as always, and always will be, led by curiosity towards all things. I have found myself wanting to simplify a lot over the last few years, but what I’ve realised is I need to do better with management and building support so the foundation is better balanced. This perspective shift is a challenging one for me and I look forward to working on it.

So, 2025, for what was meant to be a relaxing year with 2 trips planned turned into 9 months overseas, visiting 9 countries, 12 conferences, A kids camp, a 4 week intensive and time with some very incredible people. Mainly, It showed me by being fluid in your plans and working with others, so much more can happen.  Build a foundation and when opportunity presents itself, take it. The network of people I’m connected with is incredible, and I feel blessed.

Amongst all of the above, a window of opportunity presented itself to start a treatment for my ankleI which for me was a real life miracle and dream come true for my nerd brain about biology and health. Once again, I’m very grateful to those around me and what doors and opportunities open up. I often feel like I’m playing a different game of life to most with my ankle being in daily discomfort over the last 5 years and the basics of just walking being a complexity. It’s not a bad game, but a different set of cards. I know that if I quit learning and growing and pursuing the 1%, it’s a slippery slope downhill; but I know that I wouldn’t have done half of the things I am doing in life without the injury as discomfort and the personal challenges wouldn’t be present to push me along.

So In the pursuit of getting stronger, studying the body, giving time, finding people who care about the details; not settling for less, this journey has now taken me around the world along side work and introduced me to some incredible people.

So for 2026, I would am aiming to put more time back into my coaching, to stay fluid in my approach to life, keep saying yes, get better at encouraging others and reflect at the end and see what’s happened.
